Work Incentives Planning & Assistance
In cooperation with the Social Security Administration, Southeastern Vocational Services provides information about benefits and work incentives available to people ages 14-65 who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Supplemental Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).
Program Mission
- To promote employment through informed choice on the effect of work on individual benefits
- To increase the financial freedom of people with disabilities
- To enhance the self-sufficiency of people with disabilities by equipping them to manage their benefits in a responsible way
Services Provided
- Education about SSI/SSDI benefits and work incentives
- Comprehensive analysis and presentation of options
- Information about and referral to other community resources
- Benefits counseling, advocacy and support planning
AmeriCorp Financial Support Services
AmeriCorps Financial Support Services offers financial support services to individuals and families with an annual household income of $49,000 or less.
Financial services offered include tax preparation assistance, disability benefits support, and individual and group financial education sessions.
Project SEARCH - High School Transition Program
The High School Transition Program is a one-year program for students with disabilites. It is targeted for students whose main goal is competitive employment. The program takes place in a healthcare or business setting where total immersion in the workplace facilitates the teaching and learning process through continuous feedback and application of new skills.

- Can pass drug screen and felony background check
